That’s the cute little graphic I received in my inbox when I made my first sale with Etsy, exactly two years ago today. I now have over 150 sales, over 200 followers, and have been invited to take part in numerous Etsy events including the One of a Kind Etsy Section, Etsy Made in Canada, and the #UnwrapEtsy holiday pop up. I just wanted to take this chance, on our second anniversary, to thank Etsy for all the opportunities you’ve awarded me, and all that you do for small businesses and artisans in Canada.
Etsy Canada is doing so many wonderful things for makers like me. I am so so thrilled they asked me to be a part of their #UnwrapEtsy Holiday Pop Up shop in Toronto! I cannot be more excited. For 6 days, starting November 21st, Etsy will be hosting tons of local artisans and makers at Huntclub at 709 Bathurst Street. Check out the poster below for more details and click it to view the #UnwrapEtsy Facebook event!
This past Saturday was the Etsy: Made in Canada show. May I say: what a complete success!! It was one of my most favourite shows I have ever done. Thank you to Etsy who did such an amazing job organizing and promoting the sale – the crowds never ceased! And thank you to all of you who came, browsed, bought, and supported handmade goods! Crafters like me would be nothing without great customers like yourselves. If you missed the sale, click here to view all the lovely handmade wares for sale on their Etsy homes.
I hope this won’t be the only Etsy: Made in Canada sale, and I sincerely hope I will be invited to join (if) ever they organize another one.
And for those of you who missed out on Kanye and Harry Potter (they flew like wildfire!) I will be selling these two lovely boyfriends and more at the Canadian Cancer Society’s OktoberFEAST on Thursday October 16th at Wychwood Barns. Can’t wait to see you there!
Here are some snaps from Etsy: Made in Canada.
Good morning(ish)! I’ve had a nice summer relaxing, focusing on my design business, and taking a break from big shows. However, now that Autumn has hit, I’m happy to say I’ve been invited to be a part of a few great craft events! One of them being Etsy: Made in Canada. This is an awesome event because all across Canada on September 27th pop-up craft shows will be promoting all the wonderful independent makers Etsy has to offer. I’m so happy to be one of them! There are two markets in Toronto to check out, one at the MaRS building and one at OCADU. I’ll be sitting behind a little table at the MaRS Discovery District at 101 College Street from 10am – 4pm!
I am also happy to announce that I have been invited to sell at the Press Gala the night before, so if you’re lucky enough to have a press pass, I’ll see you there!
What an amazing thing to have happen:
I was interviewed for the Globe & Mail Small Business Section!!
No amount of bolding and exclamation marks can show how excited and grateful I am. Thank you to the lovely Shelby Walsh for somehow finding me, and to my great friend Sarah for taking some lovely photos of me and my workspace. Shelby contacted me a few weeks ago and I am so happy it is finally up for the world to see!
Here’s Shelby’s introduction (which I just love):
